Ambassador Wu Donates to First Lady Sia Nyama Koroma's Girl’s Camp


The office of the First Lady Sia Nyama Koroma received a donation from Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone Wu Peng to promote the First Lady's Girl's Camp.
The Ambassador upon making the donation said he intends on identifying himself with the First Lady as she works hard to improve Girl Child education in the country. He supports the idea and said it is one of the key factors to consider when developing a country. He also promised to support such projects in future, also poured encomium on the First Lady for her support in helping the president make the country a better place. He said :

“In China it is the same as we have many youth camps that pupils and students attend during holidays and it has been very productive and has been proved to be very instrumental in the educational sector of China.”
“I believe in your project Madam Koroma and the Chinese government’s People-to-People project in Africa is another way of promoting good governance and economic growth in Sierra Leone.
First Lady Madam Sia Nyama Koroma thanked the Ambassador and said her doors are always opened to the Embassy who has been supporting her all this while.
She said China has been very close to Sierra Leone and they appreciated all what China has done for Sierra Leone.
Madam Koroma said she was grateful to the ambassador for his support towards her project as she aims it becomes successful.
“We are very grateful for all what your country have done for us and just recently the president was in China where he was warmly welcomed and many projects signed that will help in the development drive of Sierra Leone.”
The items donated include : 100 Polo Shirts, 2 Huawei Mobile Phones, two Leonovo computers and $2,000 cash.
