- Vitiligo is a condition that affects all races, but is more noticeable in people with darker skin.
She’s been labelled as the next big thing in fashion.
The model has apparently caught Lewis Hamilton‘s eye, and with striking looks like hers; courtesy of vitiligo, it’s easy to see why the racing driver has reportedly taken a liking to Winnie Harlow.
Winnie was a little girl nicknamed Zebra because of the white patches caused by her skin condition. However, she made her way to become a top model.
Winnie, who grew up with Michael Jackson’s skin condition, has been tipped to be fashion’s next big thing
As a baby, Winnie was diagnosed with vitiligo around the age of four, making her among one per cent of the population who has the condition
Despite the skin disorder, you won’t deny just how incredibly hot she is!
Winnie reveals that she was physically taunted about her skin and a group of girls ‘jumped her’ in a fight, which led to her being suspended because she started skipping class
She said she dropped out of school at the age of 17 and never looked back
In an interview Cosmopolitan magazine, she said, ‘Kids called me a cow and mooed at me. I remember sitting by my window wishing upon the stars that my skin condition would go away.’
Guess the stars gave her something even better!
If that isn’t enough, she’s pals with Mariah Carey’s ex, Nick Cannon, parties with Drake, and was snapped up to star in Beyonce’s Lemonade music video
Although just 17 then, she eloquently told viewers, ‘People have black skin, people have brown skin, I have both.’
‘When I got older, it got harder because when kids get older they get meaner, so I went through a lot of bullying and people calling me like zebra or cow so it was really hard growing up.’
