Austrian Churches Hire Bouncers To Ward Off Tourists

Churches located at the historic Alpine village of Hallstatt in Austria’s Salzkammergut Lake Region have started employing bouncers to prevent tourists from disrupting services and funerals. This comes after tourists from all over the world flock the beautiful lakeside village of Hallstatt, constituting a nuisance at the village.
According to a BBC report, most of the tourists have been causing havoc at the churches by wanting to document church proceedings, while some of them attend funerals with the aim to have selfies with the mourners. In response to caution the tourists, two village churches have started to lock their doors before services begin or put bouncers at the entrance with some posted to the local cemetery during funerals.
