Sierra Leone Gist: 46 Medical Doctors Have Graduated From College of Medicine- Congratulations

Medical students taking their oath at the Amphitheatre FBC.

The sudden outbreak of the Ebola Epidemic saw the loss of more medical doctors in Sierra

Leone than could be imagined. This lead to huge vacancies in the health sector and the

international body on health, WHO, considered Sierra Leone a health risk country.
Forty-six newly-graduated medical doctors stood on stage at the newly renovated, Adjai Crowther Amphitheatre on Mount Aureol, Fourah Bay College, on Saturday, October 29, 2016 to read their medical oath and begin their careers in the rather devastated healthcare sector. The 46 medical doctors will help the gap experienced by loss of twelve doctors who died during the Ebola crisis.
