Chelsea Clinton allegedly used Clinton Foundation money and other charity resources to pay for her wedding to Marc Mezvinsky, according to emails
“The investigation into her getting paid for campaigning, using foundation resources for her wedding and life for a decade, taxes on money from her parents….” Band reportedly wrote to John Podesta, now Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman. “I hope that you will speak to her and end this. Once we go down this road….”
Band’s message is contained in a chain of emails that were hacked from Podesta’s gmail account, and released by WikiLeaks as part of more than 50,000 stolen emails.
According to the Daily Mail, Clinton’s wedding cost about $3 million, but it is unclear how much money went from the Clinton Foundation to the wedding.
The FBI is currently investigating The Clinton Foundation as the Democratic presidential nominee aims for the White House. The WikiLeaks email about Chelsea Clinton's wedding was released just two days before the Election Day.
Hillary Clinton had earlier said that some of the “personal” emails she deleted from her secret, "homebrew" server – the subject of another FBI probe – were related to Chelsea’s wedding.
