It Has Been Said That Tonight You’ll See The Largest Moon in 69 Years

  • The moon tonight will reach 'perigree', that is the closest possible distance it can to planet earth.
Occasionally, the moon is at the closest point to the earth making it look 15% bigger,  30% brighter and lighten up the sky more than it has in seven decades.
The phenomenon will be seen in most parts of the world, Nigeria included. According to NASA, the moon tonight will reach ‘perigree’, that is the closest possible distance it can to planet earth. The last one was seen in 1948 and it is not expected to be seen until 2034.
Feel free to take photos of the supermoon wherever you spot it and tag us in it!
