Congratulations are in order for Drake after his hit song ‘One Dance’ was announced as the
most streamed song in Spotify history with over 880 million streams, knocking Major Lazer‘s long-lived hit, ‘Lean On,’ off the top spot.
The tune, which features Filipino R&B singer,Kyla and one of Africa’s finest singers, Wizkidhas already helped in scoring the rapper his first number one hit song in the U.S., the U.K., and his native Canada.
On top of that, the Toronto rapper is currently the number one artist on Spotify with over 36 million monthly listeners and over eight billion total streams.

The track didn’t receive the typical video treatment, but instead got a visual courtesy of Drake’s recently released short film, Please Forgive Me, that starred Drake travelling from the desert while ‘One Dance’ and ‘Controlla’ soundtracked a gun fight and a car chase.
Fortunately, it sounds like Drake and Wizkid aren’t done yet since Wiz made a shout out to Drizzy during his One Africa Music Fest appearance, telling the crowd that they had another record coming before the end of the year. Here’s hoping the pair have another hit on their hands.
Congratulations once again!
