Bale AND Ronaldo to both sign new Real Madrid deals?

We were told that Bale was unhappy, you see. That Bale was angry. That Bale was disillusioned. That Bale was… well any negative emotion, really.
It turns out that all that was probably poppycock. Reports in Spain now say that Bale will sign a new long-term contract at the Bernabeu.
Cadena Sur say that Real Madrid are on the verge of announcing new deals for Bale and Ronaldo, with Luka Modric also set to follow. Toni Kroos’ new deal was announced on Wednesday.
Given Real’s transfer ban, it’s obvious that they would want to tie down their best players to new contracts. Ronaldo’s contract would be worth a whopping £385,000 a week, which is probably still good value.
The report claims that Bale will sign a deal that would last until 2022. Given that he’s 27, seeing out that deal would take the Welshman close to the end of his career. Good on him for staying put.
Wonderfully, The Sun’s headline on the Bale story reads as follows: ‘Gareth Bale to Manchester United: Real Madrid superstar to sign new contract at the Bernabeu until 2022’.
They just couldn’t help but go for one more ‘Gareth Bale to Manchester United’ line.
